About Nettie Fox Farm

Nettie Fox Farm is 33 acres on the Kennebec Road in Newburgh, Maine. We grow 3 acres of MOFGA certified organic vegetables.

Molly grew up on the Kennebec Road, just a few miles from Nettie Fox Farm. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in Environmental Studies and started growing vegetables in 2005 as an apprentice at Peacemeal Farm in Dixmont.

Molly spent time working on farms in Washington state and as the MOFGA Farmer in Residence with Christa Bahner of Bahner Farm. She started Nettie Fox Farm in 2009.

Everett was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He spent a year with family in China and then graduated from Willamette University, after a year abroad in Munich, Germany.

In 2009 Everett took a blind leap into the Maine agrarian lifestyle. After apprenticing at King Hill Farm in Penobscot and a handful of other nearby farms, he operated Del Rio Farm, a small wholesale veggie farm. In 2013 he and Molly joined forces at Nettie Fox Farm.

Nettie Rose Fox was Molly’s great-grandma. She was born in 1891 in New Brunswick and moved to Aroostook County with her family in 1894. At nineteen, she married Edward Jordan Bull and together they raised thirteen kids on a farm in Mapleton. She loved quilting, knitting, gardening and baking. The center of her kitchen was an old “Home Comfort” woodstove, used for baking, hot water, drying wet mittens and warming up the occasional sick lamb.
